The first week in May marks “National Pet Week,” a joint effort founded in 1981 by the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Auxiliary to the AVMA to promote responsible pet ownership, celebrate the human-animal bond and promote public awareness of veterinary medicine. National Pet Week is widely celebrated throughout the United States and other parts of the world.
Being a softy for animals (with an especially warm, fuzzy place in my heart for the pooches), I’ve decided to devote a little blog time and energy to the cause throughout the duration of May. Check back for interviews and tidbits from the people, organizations and businesses devoting their energies to the betterment of man’s best friend.
