Maccessorizing.

After years of harsh criticism, most of which hinging on the travesty that was the old-school single-button mouse, I recently became the proud owner of my first Mac. This, of course, also made me a hypocrite of the highest form – but a hypocrite with a freaking awesome new piece of technology in my lap.

Very quickly I forgave the Mac sins of yore and found myself making BFF with the most expensive piece of fruit I’d ever purchased.

I thought our relationship was moving along nicely until the afternoon – six days after bringing Mac home – the Macbook flung itself from the kitchen counter and smashed upon the dog dishes. My life (and sizable still-fresh dent in my bank account) flashed before my eyes. When the dust settled, all I saw were white bits strewn across the tile floor. Thankfully it turned out to be a shattered dog dish. Though the minpin gave it the stink-eye, much to my delight the Macbook escaped mostly unscathed with only a few pirate scars along the edge. With that early onset brush with disaster, I hopped online to order a protective shell for my new baby. If I needed to turn it into the technological equivalent of a “bubble boy” … I was prepared to do so.

While perusing the world of Maccessories, it came to my attention that there are a plethora of cutesy-wootsie decals to embellish the little white wonder. So cute, in fact, they quickly took me off-track and deep into the world of etsy.

In light of this discovery, I wanted to share a few of my favorites. You know what they say: You’re never fully dressed without a decal.

And the one that stole my heart and currently resides on the flipside of my Macbook? …
